Why blog?
So, midway through finishing my last blog post, just as I was about to click “view” to check the photo positioning, I was hit with the Cisco Umbrella DNS “screen of death” page!! 😅😱 The main domain is fine, but my specific blog post pages are blocked. Now I have to put in a little extra effort just to continue this newly discovered project of mine.
So why blog even with extra effort? Why do people write? I chose BearBlog for its minimalist approach and the intentional lack of a comment section. With a CS background, I feel like I owe it to myself to figure the tech side out eventually, but the truth is, I think I'm more afraid of what people will say about what I write.
I want to share and hear feedback, and yet I fear it. I want to feel important, and yet I don’t. Isn’t that funny? Maybe that is exactly why I am doing it. I am a nobody here and I can truly be myself and not feel judged.
For now I will just enjoy the freedom of yapping without any unsolicited advice/feedback. Overcoming the technical challenges of integrating a 3rd party comment section is probably a lot easier than overcoming our own fear of self-criticism and self-acceptance. 😂
So, why do you blog?
I did reward myself to a tasty Mexican dish…I feel 😇
